The relationship manager therefore worked in partnership with clients to understand their business and where Clearstream could add value. This role was dedicated to the Nordic region - comprising around 22 customers generating revenue in the region of EUR4million per annum. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer for Distribution (pending recruitment of a new Global Head of Distribution). The Client Service team today comprises colleagues located in London, Edinburgh, New York, Philadelphia, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney.Leading a key function within the Distribution division which, post the acquisition of Scottish Widows Investment Partnership, also includes direct responsibility for the success of the strategic partnership relationship with AAM’s largest client.As a senior member of the Distribution Management Team, this role requires deep technical knowledge and strong organisational skills to manage the team and function whilst taking the lead in key strategic or regulatory projects, and setting procedures and standards to be followed globally. Recognised throughout the company as an SME and ‘trouble shooter’ for all client related activities, responsible for managing key client communications and messaging across a variety of topics as well as implementing best practice in client service and relationship management. A key member of various committees charged with running AAM’s Distribution division. Show less Lead and managed the Client Service team for EMEA: the largest Client Service team in AAM by headcount, by client volume and assets under management (AUM), and in terms of supported products/investment strategies. The team was split across three geographic locations; London, Aberdeen and Luxembourg and into three functional areas of responsibility: client service, segregated client reporting, and finally client on boarding & event management. The AAM Institutional Client Service team cared for clients investing in separate accounts or into an AAM pooled fund, from traditional plan sponsor Pensions Funds to large Insurance companies, Platforms and Wholesale distribution partners. The team totalled 35 service staff. Reporting to the Global Head of Distribution, the Head of Client Service was a key part of the Distribution Management Team which was charged immediately post the Deutsche Asset Management (DeAM) acquisition, with completing the integration work, and preparing the Distribution team for the ambitious growth plans AAM intended to implement. Based on success in the role and recognised as a leader of people, with deep technical knowledge of processes in support of Client Service functions, in September 2008 the role was expanded to take overall ownership of the Client Service function in AAM globally.
