      Carvel gave me the basis of my work ethic. As my first job, it taught me important skills in customer service, food service, and overall responsibility. Here, I learned all the processes of food service through taking an order, making the food, and serving it to the customer in one transaction. I was responsible for memorizing over 30 specialized ice cream products, and serving hundreds of customers a day. As my town is quite diverse, I took orders in both English and Spanish.       As a co-manager at Sweets and More, I utilize both customer and food service skills to operate and manage a functioning restaurant from a dorm building with over 150 customers a night. I work on a variety of committees that cover a range of responsibilities, including purchasing, inventory management, pricing community outreach, and talent acquisition. All co-managers participate in weekly all-staff meetings, where all matters of business are discussed, and new ventures are brought up.

      At Ripka’s, I gained valuable experience in both the front and back of the house operations. Front of house responsibilities included taking and expediting orders and making a variety of cocktails and ice cream products. As a line cook, I worked with an organized team of four others to ensure all food was prepared and sent out in a timely manner. I also gained experience in catering and worked a variety of events, from private concerts to wedding parties.

      Eagle Scout Award Boy Scouts of America, Troop 222 May 2020 The highest honor in Scouting. Planned, carried out, and led a service project refurbishing a local park in my home town. Climbed the ranks of scouting, and served in many different leadership positions. These range from Patrol Leader, in charge of a group of 5-7 boys, all the way to Senior Patrol Leader, who is in charge of running the entire troop.
