Statistical process controls were used to identify defects in the gear pump. Affinity Diagram, Ishikawa diagram and Pareto Analysis were conducted to categorize the different defects after which we implemented 8D analysis, Six Sigma (DMAIC), FMEA, PDCA and PFMEA to rectify the defects which reduced the number of complaints for the gear pump.
