  As the Career Services Coordinator for Penn State Fayette, The Eberly Campus, I was responsible for providing career coaching to 650+ students. Through one-on-one appointments, classroom training, demonstrations, and workshops, I provided students with opportunities for skill development and strategies for career success. Appointment and workshop topics included, but we’re not limited too, developing application and interview materials, creating strategies for skill development, and planning ahead for career success.I worked diligently to develop and maintain relationships with local employers and community partners from various sectors and industries. I also oversaw the planning of the annual Penn State Fayette Career and Internship Fair. The fair was attended by 250+ students and 100+ employers, over a four year period, with representation from industries such as engineering, business, human services, criminal justice, and health and wellness. Other events of note included the Penn State Meet & Mingle networking event attended by 13 recruiters and the entire graduating class of 30 Nursing students during its launch in November of 2018.As a coordinator, I was responsible for maintaining and balancing a small budget, supervising interns within the Student Success Center, as well as for the entire life cycle of student development programs from assessment to planning to implementation. In collaboration with the Advising Manager and Learning Center Coordinator, I co-coordinated the annual Student Success Institute, a 1.5 day conference designed to equip higher education professionals with resources, best practices, and a personalized plan to implement at their own institutions.A small percentage of my responsibilities fell within academic advising and maintaining a roster of 20-30 students in areas of engineering, business, and students enrolled in the Division of Undergraduate Studies.   Guidance Counseor

  In my current role, I serve as the Guidance Counselor at Education Center West. I support approximately 15,000 members of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard by serving as an information resource on the education benefits earned during their service. Information is disseminated through one-on-one appointments, newsletters and advertisements, as well as through education briefings presented during weekend drills at various locations.In my role, I also provide career counseling and academic coaching to soldiers and their dependents on topics such as, resume and cover letter development, job search and interview skills, college/major selection and career connection, and other topics as needed.Additionally, I work closely with various Army National Guard personnel to create and deliver informational presentations on the above topics as well as specialized events such as career and academic fairs to allow multiple opportunities for soldiers to connect with educational institutions and employers throughout Pennsylvania.
