  The internship concentrated on a feasibility study for integrating solar power as a primary energy source for Federated Co-operatives Limited facilities across Saskatchewan, Canada, aiming to reduce reliance on GHG-intensive electricity production in the region.Key tasks accomplished during the internship included:- Analyzing and calculating solar power generation potential for each Federated Co-op facility- Conducting an economic analysis of replacing GHG-intensive energy sources with solar power- Estimating the reduction in GHG emissions achieved through solar energy implementation- Investigating battery energy storage (BES) systems and assessing the feasibility of incorporating BES at each siteThe initial segment of the work was presented as a poster (ID-48491) on IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) General Meeting, which was held virtually from August 3-6, 2020, due to COVID-19.The comprehensive analysis was presented as a conference paper and published at the 7th World Congress on Electrical Engineering and Computer Systems and Sciences (EECSS'21) in July 2021.
