  I analyzed the Inventory of all 5 different stores of Care Hospital (Like: lead times, ordering frequency, safety stock, disposal of expired items, inventory costs, ABC classification, FSN classification etc. My major observations and recommendations to their operations team were:1. Ordering system was loosely based on Continuous Review System2. Most of the counting, checking was done manually despite a running ERP "JIVA" ; staff should be trained for better ERP performance. 3. The holding and ordering costs were not calculated separately, they must be calculated separately for ordering proper economic quantity4. No proper forecasting model was used; as a result inventory turnover ratio was very low. Show less
