      Ferdinand Poulton, S.J. Award Center for Social Justice, Georgetown University 2015 Ferdinand Poulton, S.J. was a 17th Century Jesuit missionary for the Maryland Province. Father Poulton was committed to Catholic Education, and is considered a forefather of Georgetown because he was the first to seek Papal approval for the University's patronage. The Ferdinand Poulton Award recognizes a student who exemplifies "advancing social justice and the common good."
