  Capricorn Copper is an established copper mine ~120kms north of Mount Isa. Capricorn Copper Mine is a joint venture project between Lighthouse Minerals and EMR Capital. The joint venture purchased the former Mount Gordon Mine when it was in Care and Maintenance and I was part of the team tasked with restarting operations. I lead a team of five people that achieved:Successfully negotiated and obtained the Environmental Authority Amendment required to re-start operations. This involved high level technical input and extensive liaison with the Department of Environment and Heritage Protection.Developed and implemented a new HSEC Management System.Developed the Emergency Management Plan at site and corporate level.Refurbishment of the site medical facility and established a Mines Rescue Team with new equipment, ambulance and facilities. Established community consultation processes with neighbouring land owners, Indigenous Groups and other interested parties. Show less
