      Network Engineer in network premise engineering organization. Responsibilities included project management for network components of various client projects, designing the required network needed for the application, ordering equipment, supervising installation of network, and documenting the network for ongoing support. Equipment involved included Cisco routers, Synoptics ethernet and token ring hubs, Artel switches, Xyplex terminal servers, and point to point data circuits. Implemented and used SNMP network management tools on Sun workstations. Developed processes maintaining and documenting network engineering activities and implemented the tools needed to support those processes including HP Openview, Sun Net Manager, and Apache web servers. Show less Assigned to TASKMATE team which developed scripts allowing automation of 3270 terminal tasks that previously were performed manually. Provided leadership to the team. Developed and presented these solutions to company leadership for approval and funding. Implemented proposals resulted in significant, recurring, annual expense reductions.
