Charted the strategic direction and managed five department directors to maintain, train and employ a ten aircraft, 200-man helicopter squadron. Met or exceeded all financial and operational goals.

      Chief Executive entrusted to develop strategic direction and to orchestrate the operations of a 650 ft amphibious warship comprised of a crew of 750+ Sailors and Marines. Managed a multimillion dollar operating budget and I provided executive oversight of a $130M mid-life ship upgrade that was executed by four prime contractors, lead by General Dynamics/National Steel and Shipbuilding Company (GD/NASSCO) and numerous sub-contractors. The project provided upgrades to the ship's hull, mechanical, electrical, propulsion, and combat systems. Upon completion of this complex maintenance period I was responsible for every aspect of training and readiness leading up the ship's deployment as part of the USS MAKIN ISLAND Amphibious Readiness Group.       Chief Executive of a nuclear powered aircraft carrier, USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72), during mid-life Refueling and Complex Overhaul (RCOH). The $4B+ project included nuclear refueling and upgrades to the ship's hull, mechanical, electrical, and combat systems. RCOH prepares the ship for its final 25 years of service. Developed and executed the strategic vision for one of ten of our nation's capital assets and the 3000+ Sailors assigned to the ship.
