I managed a large team across diverse roles, was responsible for budgeting, box office systems, event promotion and PR. I began my work with the festival as an entertainment booker, quickly expanding my duties to Production Manager and for the final year I worked as the Managing Director.       I was hired as a production manger with a technical leaning for the UK leg of a show commissioned by LIFT. The show, Minefield, was directed by Argentinian director Lola Arias and received very favourable four and five star reviews. I was responsible for overseeing all elements of the show, from budgeting to build and rigging to risk assessments. The show highlighted the experiences of English and Argentinian veterans of the Falklands War and contained a complex mix of multimedia elements, including a live band and 3D projection mapping.       I worked as a VR/AV technician to plan, create and facilitate unique and ground breaking multiplayer VR experiences. We toured extensively in the UK, China, Hong Kong and Switzerland.I planned the room layouts for up to 8 simultaneous players, and up to 40 attendees being rotated through the fully submersive in game experience, reflective group analysis and real-world interactive elements of the games. To facilitate elements of the game beyond the headset, I ran a complex mix of video feeds through switchers, matrices and multi-views to screens in various different game areas.I would assist with the build and operation of a discrete network with a local server running proprietary games. I was involved in stress-testing the games and facilitating sessions with clients including directors and CEO's from Novartis, HSBC, Lane Crawford and Astra Zenaca to name a few.Since the project moved from high end PC's and wired headsets to Meta Quest headsets the technical aspects of the production has been significantly simplified but I still provide assistance in facilitating events from time to time.       I joined We are Beer during a period of expansion for the company, with a rosta of 6 food and drink festivals between June and December. To the end of reviewing and streamlining systems and processes I initially joined the company as an Operations Manager. Over the course of 2021 I worked for the company on a full-time basis, alongside the assistant to the Operations Director, to automate a wide range of time consuming data entry tasks, through a combination of linked google forms and sheets, making extensive use of imported ranges and lookups and interfacing these with Monday and Hubspot for CRM, PM and marketing purposes.Through 2021 responsibilities included lead development, account management, procurement, resource management, venue liaison, CAD design and delivery.In 2022 much of the ops work-load had been automated and I handed over the remaining operational management duties to the former ops assistant, so that I might focus entirely on production. I streamlined the technical and logistical side of the operation, finding overproduced areas to make savings and bolstering provision in under-managed areas. I created the fire and emergency evacuation plans, power distribution plans and was responsible for Health & Safety across all events. I also held the role of DPS and ESO at most events.The flagship event, London Craft Beer Festival, is held annually at Tobacco Dock. Show less
