I provided psychological safety for team members to discuss workplace stress and challenges, contributing to improved team wellbeing and performance. I facilitated more understanding, compassion and effective communication within a diverse Multi-Disciplinary Team, through inclusivity and respecting differing contributions from team members. I was responsible for overseeing the course programme for a high-performing Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) mental health service. IAPT services provide psychological intervention for anxiety and depression and are measured against national performance targets by NHS England. In order to meet these targets, a key part of the service provision strategy was the provision of psycho-educational courses, predominantly teaching Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) skills. Across a typical year, approximately 80 courses of 10 different types would be delivered, serving clients with different needs. Courses ranged from 2 to 16 sessions and were delivered by staff with a range of experience, with differing support needs. I was responsible for the development, implementation, quality and performance of group-based interventions. This involved: providing regular staff training; supervising staff; strategic leadership, workshop development and evaluation. During the pandemic, I was responsible for converting the course programme into an online offering, leading a small team to complete this.I led and coordinated several specialist clinical leads and operational managers responsible for wider service performance. I chaired meetings, collaborated on strategy and maintained positive working relationships with course facilitators. I nurtured novice group facilitators and created space for experienced clinicians to feel respected whilst offering useful guidance. I wrote and facilitated staff training to groups of 6 - 45 staff. I supervised multiple service audits reviewing effectiveness of the interventions, demonstrating value of the courses delivered. I played a key role within the service in recruiting, mentoring and developing pre-qualification psychologists as undergraduates, post-graduates and doctoral trainees. This gave an insight into the soft skills gap for younger generations. This role started full time for 6 months then 32 hours per week. Show less

I provide individualised, evidence-based psychological interventions to clients struggling with overwhelming emotions, burnout and loss of motivation. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with other psychological models to provide a personally tailored service.I have written and delivered workshops supporting the development of mindfulness, self-compassion and courageous communication. As a group leader, I create psychological safety, manage group dynamics and promote inclusivity through a mix of upbeat energy, expertise and sensitivity to the needs of the group. I facilitate skill development in clients wishing to become more Self-led, calm, confident, courageous and creative versions of themselves. Through guiding their understanding of themselves and others, clients develop more clarity, curiosity, compassion and connection. This improves self-awareness, self-regulation, communication and conflict resolution in their personal and professional lives. Clients can then experience an increase in positive emotion, vitality and motivation, engaging in more life-enhancing activities and relationships. This enables greater ease in maintaining wellbeing, dealing with challenging situations and achieving personal and professional goals. For individual work, my focus is on clients with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, usually within the context of complex or developmental trauma. This can present in the workplace as: burnout, low morale, disinterest, procrastination, task avoidance, panic attacks, passive aggressive behaviour and workplace conflict.
