      At Mitchell Prehistoric Site, I was trained as a field archaeologist as a part of a field school. Responsibilities and tasks included: surveying, recording with the total station, plan drawing, context recording and site photography, finds washing and sorting and recording, sampling of charcoal for radiocarbon dating. I also worked with members of the public discussing the site, it's history and our work within it. I also took part in an 'Archaeology Awareness Day' and was responsible for the 'Kid's Dig' which involved working with children, teaching them basic trowel technique and the ability to identify bone and pottery.
