  Student Clinical Placement

  • I did my first clinical placement at London Regional Cancer Centre. I was fresh out of academic world during this clinical placement. I got to learn so much, although more than learning this experience consolidated my passion for radiation therapy. I thoroughly enjoyed interacting with patients, senior radiation therapists and other team members. Prior to this experience, all the learning happened in course based skills labs where we as students used to simulate clinical environment in a small room. However, it was not until this clinical placement that I started to become confident in my technical and interpersonal skills. I also received constant constructive feedback from both my supervisors. Overall, it was a great learning experience and prepared me well for my next clinical placement. Show less
