      Advisory and Assurance Analyst

My client portfolio consisted of high profile entities across the telecommunications, media, hospitality and tourism sectors, providing me with experience in performing statutory audits across a diverse range of clients. I also have experience in limited assurance engagements. All of my assurance work was client facing, and through this I was able to gain valuable insights into the inner workings of many finance functions and wider company operations – including people and processes. I enjoyed the technical detail and analysis while also having the ability to see the ‘big picture’ as to areas my clients were performing well in, and identifying areas where they have room to improve. • Bank of New Zealand

      Sept 2017 - Oct 2019
      Associate, Institutional Banking

My clients consisted of high profile entities across the electricity utilities, infrastructure, telecommunication, oil and mineral industries. As the first point of contact for clients within our team I gained valuable insights into the inner working of many finance functions and wider company operations – including people and processes. I co-ordinated resources from all different parts of the bank to meet our clients’ often sophisticated financing needs and obtained a sound understanding of the operations and different divisions within the bank. I developed strong technical financial knowledge and invaluable project and people management skills. By managing multiple client requirements at any given time, I was able to demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively, delegate work, meet expectations of my seniors, and manage my own workload. Senior Associate, Institutional Banking & Markets

Responsibilities included managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, providing a full range of capital raising and risk management products and services to our clients to support their strategic objectives. I contributed to the team through developing and enhancing both internal relationships across the Australasian bank and client relationships through the delivery of timely and tailored capital solutions. I also helped to originate new solutions and transactions that met business objectives for clients and the Bank and managed transactions to drive efficient execution across the loan and product life-cycles. Through this I was able to further develop a good understanding of credit risk issues and gain further experience in understanding the operational drivers of a business, whilst gaining further aptitude in research, analytical and modelling skills. • ASB Bank

      Oct 2021 - May 2024

Influencing the way ASB Corporate Banking, Rural Corporate Banking and Property Finance transacts with its clients through successfully supporting the origination, structuring and execution of syndicated, club and bilateral loan facilities across a broad range of segments (mid-market to large syndicated institutional, agribusiness, industrials, property finance, leverage finance and structured financing). Working with various product specialist teams to provide negotiation advice ensuring the bank’s position is protected while working closely with credit risk and both internal and external legal providers. I provide the link between negotiation of complex legal documentation and commercial requirements by liaising with the client’s solicitor, the bank appointed solicitor and the relationship team to ensure that the funding package offered by the Bank reflects credit approved terms and the Bank’s desired commercial position. Show less Supporting the Corporate Banking relationship teams and Capital Markets & Advisory team with financial analysis, financial modelling, market & industry research and credit writing to provide input on efficient capital structures for new transactions and existing customers. I also served as the go-to partner for advice for all stages of the customer journey and supported the frontline teams in the delivery of exceptional customer service. This included the processing of Annual Reviews and Credit submissions along with the required supporting information ensuring an accurate record of securities, covenants, credit ratings, modelling and pricing data for Client Coverage Teams. Through this I gained further experience in maintaining credit quality, ensuring data integrity and the strict adherence to the Bank’s credit and risk process and standards. Show less
