  Research Assistant at the Public-Private Sector Research Center (PPSRC) at IESE Business School - University of Navarra. Here I worked under the supervision of PhD. Prof Joan Enric Ricart and PhD. Prof. Xavier Vives, Director of PPSRC.Inside PPSRC, I collaborated on the research and development of several projects for the Specialist Centre on PPPs in Smart and Sustainable Cities (PPP for Cities).Acquired valuable knowledge and experience in PPPs, research tools and skills, project development and teamwork capacities.   Intern in Corporate Strategy in the Strategy and Business Development Department. I reported directly to the Strategy and Business Development Director and the Board of the entire Group Berger-Levrault (based in Paris).Main Mission:To take part on the update of the strategic positions and strategic plan of the Group.To work hand by hand with the members of the team in important high-value projects for the Group, that allows me to study different markets, functional knowledge and products: Public Policy, Purchase and Finance, evolution of Public Services, Participatory Democracy, Smart Cities and Territories, Digital Transformation, Households Support, and growth prospects in the (High) Education Market.To work across the board with different countries and departments of the Group.Main duties:• Update of the strategic analysis of the different business areas of the Group.• Take part on the revision of the strategic plan: evaluation, forward planning, policy proposals, profitability analysis, action plans, etc.• Study of international development opportunities (business sectors): opportunities identification and viability study (market and competition analysis, positioning in the product portfolio, synergies, business plan, integration).• Strategic studies related with business projects (mergers and acquisitions, organic growth) and design Business Plans.• Regarding competition and market surveillance: o Analysis of global markets in the business areas of the Group, benchmarking and to take part on the implementation of a new monitoring tool. o Creation and update of the general management monitoring tools.• Elaborate presentations/support to the different government buddies of the Group: COMEX (Executive Committee of the Group), CSI,...   Foment del Treball Nacional is the main business association of Catalonia. Founded in 1771, it represents most of the largest corporations and SMEs of the territory, adding up to 75% of the Catalan GDP and +450k businesses. It is one of the main socioeconomic and civil society representatives in front of the public institutions of the country.As Economist, I report directly to the Deputy Secretary General (and Director of the Economics Department).I elaborate reports, briefings and presentations on a broad and diverse range of economic related topics (i.e. general economic outlook, public policy, taxation, transport and mobility, artificial intelligence, international relations and cooperation, economic development, public economy, public finance, corporate finance, corporate governance, budgets, labour market, etc.).Also, I elaborate large strategic documents which are meant to guide the future of the socioeconomic reality of Catalonia and Spain (i.e. Catalonia 2030, COVID-19 Emergency Plan), for which we look for agreements with other socioeconomic agents, like labour unions and Catalan and Spanish governments' representatives.I manage a large and diverse range of research sources and databases from main public institutions (OECD, IMF, Eurostat, Idescat, INE, etc.), as well as, econometric statistical software (STATA or Gretl). Moreover, I participate in many sectorial and territorial commissions of my organization. Their purpose is to debate on current relevant topics and to come up with a series of documents, strategic work lines or lobbying activities. This gives me the chance to meet with and make myself known among many prominent and renowned leaders of all economic and business sectors at the Catalan, Spanish and European level.Finally, this job position requires me to be diligent and efficient enough to deal with tight deadlines, adaptability to overcome unexpected events, and to keep a high quality standard on my work performance.
