      As a law clerk at the District Attorney's Office, I spent most of my time in the courtroom. I presented 26 preliminary hearings before the Superior Court of California as counsel on record. Responsibilities included: interviewing witnesses, performing direct examinations, presenting evidence and stipulations to the court, and responding to oral motions to dismiss. Outside of the courtroom, I conducted legal research, prepared memorandum and drafted motions for various Fourth and Fifth Amendment issues including: oppositions to motions to suppress evidence, oppositions to motions to traverse the warrant, motions to correct pre-state sentence credit, warrant applications, and wiretap order applications. I also assisted in various aspects of trial preparation including: choosing exhibits; creating trial binders and exhibit lists; writing drafts of pre-trial motions; and responding to discovery requests.
