  Working as the Senior Program Director at the Jim and Heather Gills YMCA was an exciting rewarding career. I planned and implemented all special events for the Jim and Heather Gills branch and supervised over 60 part time and 3-5 full time employees in all of the high-risk branch areas (aquatics, camp, kid zone, rock wall, and family events).Some of my main responsibilities included:--Creating, managing, and exceeding budgets of up to $3.2 million dollars. --Surveying community members and program participants and analyze results to improve existing programming and implement new programs (SEER and Listen 360).--Planning, implementing, and executing a successful summer camp program with over 200 campers for over five years.--Developing a marketing plan and executing marketing materials to the appropriate audiences--Training all association staff in Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid as needed--Supervising and managing the Membership Department for the 2012 fiscal year in the absence of a Membership Director.   Tampa Bay Watch, a 501(C)3 organization, is dedicated to the protection and restoration of the Tampa Bay estuary through scientific and educational programs. The Tampa Bay Watch Discovery Center is a fantastic addition to the new St. Pete Pier. It is an interactive marine discovery center focused on the Tampa Bay estuary and environmental education.I planned, prepared, and successfully opened Tampa Bay Watch’s first public facing facility on the brand-new St. Petersburg Pier in the middle of a pandemic. I composed policies and procedures for a new, public facility and was responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising all staff in the Guest Services department. Show less
