      I was employed as a Waste Audit Officer for a two-week vacation period in February of 2010 and 2011. During these periods it was my responsibility to conduct audits of the composition of waste and recycling in 150-200kg urban truck loads. I worked with six other people and complied with council OH&S requirements by performing manual labour safely and wearing appropriate PPE items. During the work experience period I obtained an understanding of the 7 types of plastics.

My tasks during work experience included - accompanying departmental officers on site inspections related to customer enquiries, construction projects and corridor management issues - an Environmental Scoping Report for a Safer Roads Sooner project- a review of a contractor's construction Environmental Management Plan- receiving and actioning (writing professional reports) for Customer Feedback Responses (CFR's)- conducted an assessment of a CFR and produced a professional report recommending an action.- catalogue plants samples into 'field guides'I was able to perform most of these tasks with minimal guidance.
