  • Managing a variety of insurance and facultative reinsurance claims from receipt of notification of loss through to collection and prompt payment of funds to the client.• Particular specialisation in complex layered reinsurance programmes for State owned entities throughout Latin America. This includes a number of high profile insureds throughout Mexico and varying power generation and distribution corporations in Ecuador. • The claims emanating from these insureds include ‘All Risk’ property damages, machinery breakdown, business interruption, catastrophe events and varying liabilities. Due to the nature of these risks, claims can often be complex and/or contentious. • Other areas of experience include retrocession placements, contractors’ plant equipment, political violence/terrorism and direct casualty claims all of which are international. • Additional exposure to UK retail and entertainment/contingency claims.• Broking and negotiating with numerous Lloyds, Company and overseas markets worldwide. • Actively liaising with clients, cedants, adjusters and lawyers worldwide in a professional manner. • Reviewing clients’ claims submissions, providing advice on London market expectations and pre-empting (re)insurers’ queries.
