  The University of Kent has a capital investment programme with the goal of improving the network services we offer to students and staff. My role involves working with University teams to manage the rollout of upgraded hardware. The programme is broad based and includes a range of activities to improve and broaden the availability of network services, particularly Wi-Fi. It is not purely a hardware investment. My role is best described as a solutions delivery manager. I have responsibility for ensuring Information Services successfully delivers solutions to meet the requirements of business units. The role has particular responsibility for the delivery of an upgrade to the Staff Connect HR system.
