      Sept 2009 - Aug 2010
      Law Clerk

While working for Isler, Dare, I was responsible for standard file clerk duties - organizing and maintaining multiple filing systems, reviewing old materials for digitization and destruction, and helping to keep the office organized and operational with day-to-day tasks. While this may not sound glamorous, my responsibilities provided opportunities to both lessen the work load on others in the office (and increase productivity), as well as learn from a premiere employment law firm what it means to be employed, what legal standards cover various situations, and how to live up to the employees end of the employment, even in an At Will state like Virginia.I left this job after being offered the full-time position with McLean Presbyterian Church with the blessing of my bosses. • McLean Presbyterian Church

      Sept 2009 - Sept 2020

I am continuing my responsibilities overseeing all IT infrastructure, technical support, and day to day administration of the Network, Server, Active Directory, and Google Apps resources. Within that realm I select hardware solutions, configure software solutions, maintain a growing network, and strive for 100% staff satisfaction. Upgrades include a new Checkpoint firewall, moving all offsite access to strictly Active Directory controlled VPN, upgrading network switches to gigabit compliant hardware, designing and installing an enterprise grade public wireless system, and installing cell phone signal amplifiers and antennas to provide better signal quality throughout the building. In addition to the traditional network needs, I support the audio visual needs throughout the church, performing upgrades, maintenance, and training where needed. Projects have included transitioning a mobile sound system from analog to digital utilizing an AES50 digital snake and fully powered mixes, upgrading livestream camera hardware and infrastructure, and integrating new projector and Apple TV combinations to support wireless presentation and media. Show less As the Director of Facility, AV, and IT Resources, I was responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility and technical systems support. I managed a Windows Active Directory network domain, served as the Network/Server/Active Directory/Google Apps Administrator, completed a server upgrade from Windows 2003 to Windows 2008r2, oversaw the transition from existing email hosting provider to Google for Nonprofits, led the transition from an existing IT contractor to in-house tech support, pioneered streaming of church services including streaming platform, procedures, and training, and oversaw all AV equipment maintenance, upgrades, and training. My management responsibilities included coordinating all vendors and contractors, including major contracts for equipment replacement, handling the facility budgeting covering multiple line items totaling over $300K, creating documentation for the building operations and procedures manuals, performing bid analysis for individual projects worth up to $65K, overseeing all building HVAC, Fire Control, Boiler, Electrical, and Security systems, and overseeing all facility maintenance staff. Show less During my time as a part-time sound tech at MPC I had two focuses: training/operating on existing technology, and upgrading aging technology. During my year in this position I was able to train and document on all of the AV systems in the church. I was fortunate enough to research and provide options on updating our aging wireless technology to be in compliance with the FCC mandated digital transition. This required installing new wireless systems in 3 different rooms, plus our mobile sound system. After a significant purchase, 8 new top of the line Shure wireless systems, and 2 cheaper, but more mobile, Shure wireless systems were installed. All systems were configured on clear wireless channels. This effort was my first taste of a full design/install project. Show less

In my role as Sr. Product Manager for the Integrated C4ISR Systems Business Unit within Trident, my role is to build and manage the product roadmaps for the technology I have been creating over the past 8 years with the Predictive Maintenance & Logistics team, as well the technologies from our Multi-Domain Communications and Surveillance Systems teams. In this role I manage our long-term IRAD strategy, build business case and use case recommendations for new and emerging technologies, and monitor the profit and loss on our commercial product builds. Despite the new tasks, I always enjoy working with the PM&L team and will maintain an active role that as we have many exciting technologies to debut to the world in the near term! Show less As the Sr. Program Manager for Trident's growing Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and Tactical Health Monitoring and Prognostics efforts, I have the privilege of leading multi-disciplinary teams on major simultaneous contracts. Our goal is simple: to create solutions for the warfighter that provide actionable information on the health (both current and future) of the platforms that they rely on. Identifying issues before a vehicle crosses the line of departure could determine if they make it back or not. Working on SBIR (Phase I, II, and III), RIF, and OTA contract types, as well as internal research and development efforts (IR&D), I enjoy the opportunity to craft solutions starting with the proposal, through requirements/degrader analysis, system design, system verification, and ultimately to final delivery. Among the benefits that I enjoy most about this role is the ability to shape a project's direction to best meet a customer's requirements while showcasing Trident's design and execution capabilities. Making the correct design decisions can often be the difference maker between transitioning a product to other customers and not having any interested customers. Delivering exceptional solutions to the warfighter is our focus and goal. Show less As the Project Manager for Trident's Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) and Tactical Health Monitoring and Prognostics efforts, I am responsible for the overall management of project design, planning, execution, finances, and deliverables for multiple projects in both the Research and Design phase and commercial product. Primarily working on SBIR and RIF contracts that utilize a combination of COTS and customer hardware and software, our goal is to increase the operational availability and decrease unplanned downtime and repairs through on-board sensors and intelligence. I provide direction to engineers across a range of disciplines to ensure that R&D efforts meet the system requirements, labor estimates, and projections as well as providing overall technical guidance and prototyping. With a background in networking/IA/system security, we are focused on delivering a product that is fieldable and accreditable.I regularly travel on behalf of the company, representing Trident to project stakeholders and potential customers, managing customer relationships, and performing business development meetings. I support further projects as requested, providing technical expertise, business analysis, site surveys, project planning, equipment selection, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, and anything else required to further Trident's business efforts.Among the benefits that I enjoy most about this role is the ability to shape a project's direction to best meet a customer's requirements while showcasing Trident's design and execution capabilities.
