    • Danish Army (Infantry)

      Jan 1996 - Jan 1999

As Sergeant First Class and section commander in the Danish Army I held positions as a vehicle commander at an armoured antitank unit and a supply sergeant. Moreover, I participated in the training of conscripts and professional soldiers, and the numerous exercises and my deployment to Bosnia in 1996 has given me experience with management under very difficult and dangerous conditions. Among the many courses I participated in, I would particularly like to emphasize the army instructor course (1994), the advanced command- and education course (1997), and the infantry’s advanced course for shooting instructors (1997). Voir moins In 1996 I served six months as a section commander at the Danish Battalion in Bosnia. The battalion was part of the NATO-led peace-making mission in Former Yugoslavia. As responsible for the battalion’s supply of food my job was a combination of administrative and practical tasks. The administrative element included coordinating bulk buying of food and maintaining contact with local suppliers. The practical element included monitoring and coordinating the actual transport of food from civil suppliers to the battalion’s area of responsibility. In addition to this, I took 24-hour turns as sergeant on duty in the battalion’s tactical operations centre. Voir moins
