      Event Coordinator

As Event Coordinator, I liaised with a handful of individuals such as our Area Manger, General Venue Manager, Facilities Manager and our Chefs, in order to cover all angles of promotion regarding what we had to offer at The Tullie Inn. I dealt with all social media promotions and made graphic designs in order to sell and promote our venue as much as possible. As well as using social media and in house promotions, I also went out to surrounding businesses to inform and promote our venue and upcoming events. It was my responsibility to cater specifically to our clientele, every last detail on the run up to an event was vital. I undertook bookings, planned, budgeted, organised & negotiated all event nights and stayed through the majority of the night to ensure everything ran accordingly. I have a hands-on approach and purchased a variety of goods for specific events such as ladies night goody bag contents, Halloween and Christmas decorations. As well as coordinating events, I spent a lot of my time trying to drive sales in order to increase business and build an even greater reputation for our company. I also had the opportunity to host in-house Blind Wine Tasting evenings for our customers and arranged “Meet the Maker” / “Meet the Brewer” events throughout the spring and summer months. When a new menu was launched, I arranged complimentary tasting nights for our customers to come along and sample what we have to offer in hope that they would book any upcoming events with us. • QD Events

      Oct 2014 - Oct 2014
      Event Assistant

I was employed by QD Events to assist them with their Scottish Wedding Show weekend held at the SECC. I provided a chance for people to win money to go towards their wedding where I gained some basic information on the individual in order for them to enter the competition. As well as this great incentive, it allowed us to carry out some market research which can help towards how to improve the show in the future. It was a great experience being in the middle of all the excitement and getting to promote the event too. I was interesting to be "behind the scenes" and see a fraction of the amount of work put into creating this great event. I also assisted customers and stall holders regarding any general queries on the event itself. Show less
