  Bruce J. Clay is a former Executive Vice President at First American Title’s Manhattan office. He had been with First American since 1992 and held various positions within the firm. Mr. Clay formerly served on the Board of Directors from ’92 and as Chair of the Finance Committee since ’01, in addition to senior management and business development responsibilities. As Finance Chair he brought in new thinking to the stewardship of the companies investments.His focus areas were: Commercial Lending, Capital Market Firms, Pension Funds, Insurance Companies, and International. With extensive experience in coordination large multi-state/ multi- site transactions Mr. Clay was able to close tens of billions of dollars of commercial transactions successfully.Upon the sale of Preferred Land Title to First American in ’92, he headed up the sales division and established the aggressive marketing plan, which laid the foundation for the Manhattan office’s enormous success.
