  Risk Advisory - Controls Transformation and Assurance I specialized in SOX compliance projects, theimplementation and evaluation of our Internal Control System, and internal controls auditing for big Russian companies operating in the Telecommunications, Media & Technology (TMT), Production, and Pharmaceutical industries. The following provides a brief overview of my responsibilities while I was with Deloitte CIS:- I performed audits in accordance with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards and advised on the design and implementation of our internal controls to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002- I tested the design and operating effectiveness of control procedures for a wide range of business-processes (including financial statement closing and reporting, revenue, treasury, cost of sales, AR and AP accounting, HR, taxes, fixed assets, etc.) - I conducted fieldwork, prepared work-papers to support conclusions in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards, discussed findings and observations with management- I coordinated controls testing with process and control owners, as well as external auditors - I prepared presentations on SOX scoping, regular test statuses, observations, recommendations and remediation plans for our clients- I analyzed the effectiveness and efficiency of controls, and evaluated the root cause of control deficiencies and provided practical recommendations for remediation- I developed a risks and control procedures matrix (which included an assessment of control procedures’ design and operating effectiveness)- I evaluated and reported on SOX deficiencies to management, auditors and clients- I developed flow-charts showing business processes’ steps and control procedures (Visio, ARIS)- I supervised a team of five and served as a mentor for our junior project team Show less
