Implementing an open-source model for development across various engineering teams within Transamerica Individual Solutions.• Managed the centralized data engineering function for Individual Solutions. Show less Serving as the liaison between Finance/Actuarial and IT to develop and execute a data and information management strategy that supports Transamerica's vision for Finance and Actuarial Modernization. • Implemented an enterprise governance operating model, which included working with the business to identify the correct approvers and stakeholders, writing policies, building SharePoint and Confluence sites, giving presentations to various business areas and senior managers about data governance and architecture, and gaining agreement on term definitions and data policies from a large, diverse group of business leaders. • Implemented and matured Transamerica’s instance of Collibra (Metadata Management Tool). This included merging our software instance and operating model with the Global AEGON instance, as well as determining what additional metadata we wanted to capture and how it should be stored in Collibra (what assets to use and how to relate the assets to better show traceability and increase user experience).• Expanded my management skills: managed 40 dotted line reports, including status updates and issue resolution.• Worked closely with our lead Data Architect to refine and expand the logical enterprise data model and with the business SMEs to fit financial accounting and actuarial data requirements to the enterprise model. It provides the development team with a central point to receive work requests, collaborate with other teams, and spread knowledge to every MoSes user. To improve this process, we moved from Outlook to JIRA after extensive testing and research.• Version Control MoSes models – Assembled and implemented a plan to use the SVN Repository to version MoSes applications. This included creating a Business Requirements document, process flows for current and proposed future states pinpointing touch points between teams (Development, Modeling, and Change Management), putting together presentations to sell the change in process to all effected teams, running pilot tests with a subset of effected users, and providing training and support on the software and new process.• AXIS Conversion – Created process flows to view the current and proposed future state of the model, created a user interface, and wrote Python code to populate the AXIS model from the user interface.
