    • Seattle Rainmakers

      Mar 2013 - Aug 2014
Director of Marketing, Sponsorship, and Entertainment

Working to help shape the future for a professional league in one of the World's fastest growing sports, I was able to help develop the Seattle Rainmakers organization as part of Major League Ultimate, and held several positions for the team and sport during the first two seasons. I was the Entertainment Director in the inaugural season. I planned events and activities for each home game in between game points and breaks. I customized promotional activities for sponsors, which kept the crowd engaged while promoting the importance of each sponsor brand. In addition, I am the Emcee or the Host of each home event, where I would interact with crowds ranging from 500-5000 people. I would maintain the fluid continuity of the event, engaging the audience, making the event fun and exciting for the duration. I am recognized as the best host in the League, and have been flown around the country to host championship games for the League. During the second season of the Rainmakers, I took on the role of Director of Marketing and Sponsorship. My responsibilities included developing marketing strategies to increase attendance and create a stronger presence/awareness/recognition of the Rainmakers in Seattle. I saw a successive increase in attendance by 200 people in each game culminating in a league record high attendance of 1500 people. For sponsorships, I was able to secure several team backers from small team sponsors to larger league benefactors. I helped facilitate sponsorships that would have generated several hundred thousand dollars for the league opening up greater opportunities for the sport and players. I helped nurture strong relationships with several businesses that will continue to sponsor the Rainmakers for seasons to come as well as building critical foundational sponsorships. Show less
