State appropriated budget of $24 million per year. 400 staff.Remained within budget for all years. Joint Commission Accreditation for all years. Full CMS certification survey with Plan of Correction.Successfully completed multiple plans of correction for The Joint Commission and CMS .Last full CMS survey was deficiency-free.       Responsible for providing and managing all the medical, dental, pharmacy and mental health care needs of approximately 25,000 offenders being housed in over 42 facilities throughout the state of Virginia. This includes an inpatient acute care unit at VCU, a dialysis center and an inpatient psychiatric hospital. The Director position supervises all clinical department heads and the local health authorities at the facilities. Overall responsibility is to assure efficient and quality care is provided to the incarcerated offenders. Annual budget of approximately $260 million. 1200+ healthcare staff. Show less
