  Jim Strohecker is the Assistant Director of Learning Environments at Union College in Schenectady, NY, and has worked there for over 24 years. He provides leadership and direction for planning, developing, and implementing new and emerging technologies within academic facilities and virtual environments. He oversees the operations of the service-oriented Learning Environments to provide for a wide range of campus community media needs, educational needs, and special events. He is responsible for maintaining over 175 AV spaces between 15 buildings on the campus. This includes 110 Macintosh computers and 170 PCs. In addition to managing the computers in the classrooms, he is also responsible for all A/V instructional design and installations in these electronic classrooms, including the Crestron/Extron programming.
