Jun 2021 - Jun 2023The Sports Union is responsible for the delivery of the University of Edinburgh’s competitive and recreational sport programmes via our 67 member clubs and 180+ Intramural teams. We have over 8000 participants and consistently finish in the top 5 in BUCS. Specific responsibilities as President included internal and external advocacy and engagement, Sports Union and club development, financial planning and oversight (of a budget of ~£1m), governance including chair of the Executive Committee, line management of the Accounts Manager, and support with events, widening participation, and other Sports Union initiatives.
