      Worked closely with diverse stakeholders - bi-lateral, multi-lateral, governments, trade unions, civil society, UN agencies, academe, donors.Major achievements: wrote best-selling training materials on occupational safety & health and social protection for workers in developing countries (translated into 14+ languages); conducted training and train the trainer workshops globally and at ILO International Training Centre in Turin, Italy; developed policy recommendations for over 100 countries; raised $3 million for 5 year national training program in Brazil; raised funds for international gender-based research; conducted research on health workers' social & economic security in 25 countries of eastern Europe; provided policy advice to ministries of labour, health and education in numerous countries; developed pioneering index for measuring countries' protection of workers' health; conducted technical work in over 30 countries; designed technical framework for HIV/AIDS in the workplace which was been implemented globally; led pioneering work on impacts of liberalization of public services; development of new international labor standards and codes of practice; authored the book "Excess Baggage: Leveling the load and changing the workplace" (2007); represented ILO at senior level meetings globally; invited speaker at international conferences. Adoption of the drugs for post partum hemorrhage is needed in: national Essential Medicines Lists, Essential Packages for Health Services, Health Benefit Packages, and linked with national health insurance schemes. Thereafter introduction into country drug Procurement and distribution to facility level / maternity wards is crucial to reduce maternal mortality and achieve Universal Health Coverage. The systems are complex and complex to navigate.Work closely with Concept Foundation, WACI Health maternal health advocacy NGO (Kenya and South Africa), directly with ministries of health, and WHO Country offices.
