  Spearheaded a seal efficiency project in collaboration with Oak Ridge National Laboratory, funded by US Department of Energy aimed at reducing leakage significantly with low energy loss using various material & mechanical properties.Designed Danfoss’ magnetic bearing compressor to adapt it to specific seal testing conditions using complex CATIA design & Ansys Finite Element Analysis (FEA); conducted dynamic & static testing of seals to observe relative flow vs. pressure ratio trends.Designed complete data acquisition system for thermocouples, proximity sensors, flow meters, combination sensors & others using National Instruments’ CompactDAQ chassis & module, Yokogawa instruments & BrainChild Data Recorders.Developed testing plans for compressor, conducted data processing & devised iterations to improve data acquisition to understand seal & compressor behavior in both static & dynamic tests, with dynamic mechanical analysis on seals.Researched shaft vibration dynamics, balancing & compliant turbomachine sealing to develop new seal designs & optimize testing.
