Every day I would be conscientious to help whilst maintaining safety of self and my environment.St Davids Shopping Centre is 1.4 Million square feet which requires a number of teams working day and night to secure, more hazardous or dangerous areas of our site require me to work in a team as to patrol with minimal risk, if anything was to happen. Other roles require me to work alone and to monitor and report any suspicious activity to the control room.Communication is paramount, using radios we are constantly relaying information back and forth to keep each other updated on all activities around the centre, if there was an incident, the closest officer would be ready to assist. People are the most important part of this job and it is our duty to protect them as best we can.Below I have comprised a list of duties I do from day to day:Secure premises and personnel by patrolling our property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry. Obtain help by sounding alarms. Prevent loss and damage by reporting irregularities; inform violators of policy and procedures; restrain trespassers. Control traffic by directing drivers. Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses; obtain signatures.
