      I supported the Personnel Director and Human Capital Management team that were assigned to the Human Resources / Payroll (HRP) system project with research, change management, HRP configuration, and department engagement activities required for the design, implementation, and support of the HRP system. The role included management of the system's HR modules and support/training for the 40+ departments that use the HRP system. My responsibilities included reviewing and analyzing Civil Service Rules, Personnel Policies, State and Federal Labor laws, and the City's labor agreements to ensure proper translation to the HRP system. Show less I provided personnel support to the Board of Public Works. I was responsible for handling personnel related matters between employees and management, advising on Civil Service Rules and MOU/LAAC employment provisions, administering the hiring process, leaves of absence, and employment development through training.I handled third level grievances, discipline proceedings, and complaint investigations. I researched, gathered, analyzed, and interpreted information in preparing recommendations to management. In doing so, I consulted with supervisors and managers, as well as worked with the City Attorney and Union representatives in preparing responses.I also served as a program manager for the Personnel Employee Records Keeping System (PERKS). I was primarily focused on user adoption and engagement with the new system, and assisted with technical issues by working with Personnel's Information Technology Section and the PERKS developer.
