  I started as a welder working my way up to the weld shop lead. I became a AWS CWI and performed all the weld test along with R&D projects.

  I lead a team of quality supervisors and inspectors performing fabrication dimensional checks, coating inspection, and visual welding inspection. I work with detailers, project manager, planners, and all shop employees throughout fabrication making sure our product meets all applicable codes, project specs, and contract drawings. I handle our yearly AISC internal and external audits. Manage non conformances and corrective actions. I schedule and work closely with 3rd party NDT companies (UT-shear wave, PAUT, RT, MT). I am responsible for shop employee training and manage the training matrix. I perform all internal calibration/verification and keep all the internal and external calibration/verification records up to date. I am responsible for writing the companies Welding Procedure Specifications and performing the required PQRs. I am responsible for knowing and navigating the AISC steel construction manual, AWS D1.8, D1.1, D1.5, D1.3, D1.2, D1.6, SSPC/NACE/AMPP, AISC 341, AISC 360, AISC 358, AISC 303, along with individual state codes E.g., California Building Code/DSA/City of LA/OSHPD & WABO.
