The well was designed to serve the purposes of exploration and appraisal, with the primary drilling objectives focused on reaching the target depth while ensuring optimal hole cleaning, borehole stability, minimize waste, and cost-effectiveness. The well was designed to serve the purposes of exploration and appraisal, with the primary drilling objectives focused on reaching the target depth while ensuring optimal hole cleaning, borehole stability, minimize waste, and cost-effectiveness. In line with environmentally friendly practices, a water-based mud system was chosen for drilling operations across all sections of the well. The 17 ½" section of the well will be drilled using KCL Polymer – PHPA to inhibit reactive clay and prevent solid build up. As for the 12 ¼" and 8 ½" sections, a Drill in Fluid (DIF) will be used due to the non-damaging materials to safeguard the pay zone from potential formation damage. Show less

The oil rig design uses a Dual Multi-Purpose Tower (DMPT) and robotic pipe handling system that increases the efficiency, NOV Powerblade KERS to reduce power consumption, FPGA based Real-Time Data Acquisition to monitor the well, and other technologies.
