  My work career started at UCOR, near the Hartbeespoort Dam outside Pretoria. In the era when South Africa enriched its own Uranium. Mainly consulting. My focus was on physical metallurgy. Specifically manufacturing processes. Including welding, forging, casting, rolling, heat treatment and investigations. While at UCOR I became involved with patents. Studied law part time.

  I patented inventions, both in South Africa and foreign countries. To protect the rights of my clients. Was inspiring and eye-opening to experience their solutions.

  A whole new career experience started at Sanlam. In the financial services industry. Practised as a general financial adviser advising professional and business clients. Although an enriching experience, there were restrictions regarding my business ideas and products.
