      Activities and Societies: Underwater Hockey, Honors College My masters research project was a before and after crash analysis of corridors in the Detroit Metro region where signal optimizations had been preformed. Signal optimization improves traffic flow, which can lead to a decrease in congestion related crashes such as rear-end crashes. Results were inconclusive (corridors appeared to be no more or less safe after signal optimization).
