  Research internship in the InstaDeep Bio AI team, dealing with Protein Folding : - In depth study of the protein structure prediction problem within a Deep Learning for Biology perspective, focusing on models involving amino acid sequences and Multiple Sequence Alignment (MSA) features. - Worked on the InstaDeep version of DeepMind's AlphaFold model, state-of-the-art in highly accurate protein strucuture prediction from amino acid sequences and MSA. Dual use of major Machine Learning libraries : Use of Tensorflow Datasets API to build input pipelines, and of Jax for the network's attention mechanisms. - Used various Deep Learning techniques (such as ensemble methods, knowledge distillation, self distillation, etc.) to develop a new AlphaFold-based model with highly improved computing time performance, without significantly affecting validation performance.
