The PCC IT Infrastructure team began a project to redesign our AWS environment with the strategic goals of significantly improving security, segmenting servers based on workload, and improving resiliency/high availability. The team completed AWS training classes and then built a new environment from scratch that included three separate VPCs to segment staff, student and test servers. An AWS Transit Gateway was used as a hub to interconnect all VPCs together, and all traffic was sent through an AWS Network Firewall for centralized filtering. The migration of all EC2 instances to the newly built environment was completed successfully. Show less
