Working in a face paced and modern manufacturing/maintenance environment. Full responsibility for the Site R&M budget (£2.2M), Energy (£500K) and Capex (c.£1-3M) budgets on site. Alongside this, I am responsible for the engineering activities across the site including our Asset Care program, planned preventative maintenance activities and our out sourced engineering stores. Site Responsible Person for Gas, Asbestos, Legionella, Statutory Compliance (LOLER, PUWER etc) and Fire Alarm, Sprinklers and fire management equipment. Completed the theory of Lean Sigma Green Belt training.Notable projects:• Lead the removal of 2 complete cake manufacturing lines including 60mtr baking oven, 3 upright rotary ovens and 120mtr cooling tunnels• Modernisation of the Engineering Team moving from single skilled Engineers to multiskilled Engineering Technicians• Lead the commissioning and complete re-engineering of a new £10M cake manufacturing line. Show less 4 Month secondment in Nigeria to support all three of our biscuit/confectionery factories with specific projects.Reporting into the Supply Chain Director; managed the Engineering department across 3 sites (Head of Engineering, 14 managers and 102 technicians) to improve day to day performance.Notable Projects:• Restructured the Engineering Team. Providing net head count reduction of 41 and an annual saving of £280K based on upskilling the workforce and reduced downtime.• Led the engineering CMMS implementation. Managed 2 engineering managers to drive engineering stores stock count, consolidation, criticality assessment and quantity holding review. Developed several maintenance plans as a template for the site to continue with and suggested numerous continuous improvement ideas for the site to take forward and develop.• Developed a feasibility study at one of our underutilised biscuit factories (2 line capability and 20% utilisation). Further feasibility was carried out with a view to returning the site to the landlord or retaining and consolidating our 3rd party logistics warehouses into one site. Developed and Implemented a 3 year Site Services Development Plan, as part of this have developed the planned maintenance systems for the site services equipment to ensure maximum reliability.Experience of recruitment, appraisals, employee development and training.
