Front Store Associate, Certified Pharmacy Technician

A "jack of all trades," I was initially hired as a front store customer service associate. • Hospital Association of Rhode Island

      Jun 2016 - Jul 2019

Promoted after eight months of serving as the association's Healthcare Policy and Communications Fellow, I assisted in the development and coordination of the association's comprehensive external communications program, which was designed to carry key messages from HARI members to legislators, regulators, business leaders, and other key opinion leaders. This included writing, editing, and coordinating production of publications, presentations, and op-eds, as well as preparing speeches and press talking points. For one year, I coordinated a statewide public health campaign that brought together state agencies, hospitals, business owners, public school systems, universities, and community leaders. Throughout the first year, I provided nearly 100 presentations, participated in numerous community resource fairs, tracked campaign spending, and co-led the campaign's steering committee. In the first year, the Campaign had a reach of more than 50,000 Rhode Islanders. In addition, I assisted in the management and content development of HARI's social media pages - Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.After eight months of employment as a fellow, I was promoted to the position of communications coordination.
