Dr. Robert K. Winters is one of the "true pioneers" of bringing the importance of mental game awareness to the masses of athletic sportsmen and sportswomen during the past thirty years. His philosophy has always been to give each athlete the best scientific information available and to keep the application of that information as simple as possible. He has been trained by many of the world's best scientists and educators in the fields of sport psychology, motor learning, sports vision and sports medicine. His teaching and coaching philosophy has been to help any athlete, whether junior, amateur, collegiate or professional achieve their dream goals into productive realities. He is committed to each individual and strives to maintain a professional perspective with a personal warmth for their overall well-being and happiness. Noting his educational background coupled with an extraordinary blend of work experience as a professional athlete, collegiate coach, actor, emergency medical technician and musician provides him with a performance based background like no one else in the world. Dr. Winters completed his first formal work in the field of sport psychology in 1977 when his Master's thesis focused on anxiety and stress and their effects upon modern golf performance. Since the late 1970's, Dr. Winters has written three books, co-authored and helped develop two others along with recording audio tapes and CD's and has written countless magazine and journal articles. Dr. Winters continues to do on-going research into focal dystonia work and confidence. He also is a full-time applied sport psychologist who thoroughly enjoys working with all athletes who are truly motivated to go after personal excellence. Show less
