  Curriculum Writer

  I started an educational initiative aimed at assisting families with preschool children during the Covid Breaker period. The goal was to provide academic support to families with children at home, helping them cope with the challenges brought about by the pandemic. I developed a no-prep curriculum for families with content based on weekly themes, such as transportation, weather, back-to-school, carnivals, and more. These themes provided a framework for organizing the educational materials and activities. Each comprehensive weekly activity package comprises at least 20 engaging activities. Each activity is designed to be interactive and educational, promoting the acquisition of essential literacy and numeracy skills. These packages include a variety of resources, such as colouring pages and numeracy and literacy training sheets, tailored for children aged 4 to 6. Within these packages, children encounter a range of learning tasks, including math problems, phonics-matching exercises, colour-by-code activities, word puzzles, and comprehension passages. To raise awareness and promote Carouselle Learning, I conducted online giveaways as part of our marketing strategy. These giveaways have helped me connect with more families and provide them with valuable educational resources and support.In order to continually improve the curriculum design and ensure its effectiveness, I actively researched learning and instructional trends. This ongoing research allowed me to stay informed about the latest methodologies and best practices in education, ultimately enhancing the quality of our curriculum content and delivery. Show less

  Private Tutor

  As a private English tutor, I work with students who are learning English as an additional language. My teaching philosophy revolves around making learning fun and engaging, so I incorporate interactive movement and games to create a dynamic and interactive learning experience.One of my key strengths as a private tutor is my ability to personalize my teaching approach to each student's unique learning needs. By taking the time to understand each student's strengths and weaknesses, I tailor my lessons accordingly to help them achieve their language goals.In addition to focusing on language acquisition, I strongly emphasise building my students' confidence and fostering a love for learning. By creating a supportive and positive learning environment, I encourage my students to take risks and make mistakes, which is essential for language learning.Through my experience as a private English tutor, I have gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by non-native English speakers and have been developing teaching and strategies to help them overcome these challenges.
