      this requires the writting of a dissertation and a proper documentation of their rituals as that form a major repertoire of dominant symbols and metaphors used in their secular theatrical expression. Even the story line is drawn in from these rituals and folklore. So, I am spending extensive time with the ‘Badungduppa’, the theatre group and find out what inform and propel them to do theatre. This project if addressed, will not just be a research thesis as any other of that sort, but will help us to map a whole new approach to the long stilled, and problematized concept of tribal development. The inference might lead us to frame an alternative model theatre that blends aesthetics and politics, resolving conflict at the very micro level. This may further open possibilities of trying that method of theatre at the macro level. Show less
