  • Experience

    • IBM

      Jun 2021 - Aug 2022
      Software Engineer

At IBM, I took on a multi-faceted role that bridged advanced technical skills with client-facing responsibilities. Leveraging a robust skill set in cloud computing, machine learning, and data analytics, I led a high-impact project aimed at enhancing internal operations and client services. My tenure was marked by successful collaboration across teams, optimisation of cloud-based solutions, and a focus on data-driven decision-making.- Engineered a cloud-based, high-availability solution using Kubernetes and Ceph, automating the deployment of Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) across multi-cluster environments for internal use.- Centralised and streamlined logging from a network of several production servers, capturing over 1.4 million logs weekly through the efficient use of horizontal pod autoscaling algorithms.- Delivered multiple key presentations to client stakeholders, effectively conveying project milestones and gathering actionable feedback, one of which was extended to the wider CICS team.- Actively contributed to an IBM Research group focused on media bias detection, where I fine-tuned a BERT-based NLP model using PyTorch and TensorFlow to accurately identify abusive speech in news articles. Jan 2022 - Jan 2024
      Co-Founder

The Platform is a Web3 project I co-founded in 2022 as an attempt to refresh the concept of digital publishing, where ownership can be genuinely acquired through leveraging blockchain technologies. The Platform is a collection of smart contracts, each individually operated by a group of creators or artists, where royalties are automatically split among their members. As Lead Developer, I spearheaded the formation of the core technical team responsible for developing a multifaceted platform featuring an internal REST API (Node.js), blockchain-based smart contracts (Arweave + Palm), a client-facing web application (Next.js), and distributed infrastructure (Kubernetes).
