  JOLT (Joint Opportunities to Learn and Thrive)
  A pilot project partnership between Blue Earth County (BEC) Community Corrections and the Department of Sociology and Corrections at the Minnesota State University, Mankato (MSU-M). It's a program to gain practical experience working with adult and juvenile offenders through case management and mentoring activities. My efforts have been focused on the work in the field and my interaction with the young mentee I have been assigned.

  For three weeks this summer, I shadowed commissioned officers from the 5th Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment as part of the Cadet Leadership Training program, known as CTLT. The program is selective and reserved for cadets with competitive grade point averages, army physical fitness test scores, and class rankings.
