      The Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR) is the oldest Engineering competition in Canada. For the first time in it's 46 year history, was hosted in Toronto, and I had the honour of serving as the co-chair of the organizing committee for the event. In my role as Co-Chair I oversaw the portfolios of Logistics, Operations, Finance, External Relations, and Media/Branding, as well working as 600 competitors and over 20 corporate sponsors.For more information, please see gnctr2020.com Show less

      GNCTR is the oldest and largest annual undergraduate engineering competition in Canada, where students design and race a 5 person toboggan with concrete running surfaces down a ski hill.The mission of GNCTR is to ensure post-secondary students are offered the opportunity to apply their STEM knowledge through participation in the annual Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race (GNCTR). The GNCTR Board of Governors will advocate consistency, inclusiveness, and quality between yearly organizing committees.The Board of Governors is the long-term, stable foundation of the GNCTR competition.     • Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race 2024

      Mechanical Engineering Judge

      I served as a technical judge for the 2024 Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race in St. John's Newfoundland. I was a part of the panel evaluating the mechanical subsystems of the toboggan, including superstructure, steering, and braking. My responsibilities included reviewing comprehensive design reports for each team and conducting in-person interviews as a part of a panel, as well as collaborating with students in providing recommendations on how to further refine their designs and improve their engineering abilities.
