  As a Software Development Intern, I actively participated in developing the Muzix App, a music search and playlist management application built on a microservices architecture. The application enables searching music tracks, adding them to a favorites list, and obtaining personalized recommendations by integrating with a third-party music API.During the internship, I gained hands-on experience in full-stack development with Angular/React as the front end and Spring Boot as the middleware. I implemented core features like user authentication (registration, login, and profile management), track search, and playlist management. The backend services were implemented using Spring Boot microservices with Eureka Service Discovery and an API Gateway pattern (Spring Cloud Gateway) for modular and scalable development.I employed MongoDB/MySQL for data management, allowing efficient user and track data retrieval and storage. I leveraged JUnit, Mocha, Chai, Jest, and Protractor for automated unit and integration testing for application reliability.As part of the DevOps practice, I used GitLab as the version control and CI/CD integration and Docker as the containerization to enable seamless deployment in different environments. Code quality and debugging were managed with the help of SonarLint.This internship provided a good foundation in microservices architecture, API development, front-end and back-end technologies, testing frameworks, and DevOps methodologies, which helped me enhance my ability to build scalable and high-performing web applications.   I have implemented web applications on Core Java/J2EE, Servlets, and JSP, developing responsive designs using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX. I assisted in developing a Supply Chain Management system, in which I applied JSP/HTML for UI, JavaScript and Servlets for business logic, and JDBC along with XML parsing methodologies in an MVC pattern. I customized Java Server Pages (JSP) for customer interfaces and coded backend logic in Core Java, i.e., Collections, Multithreading, and Exception Handling for efficient performance. Further, I applied the MVC architecture pattern in the Struts framework, using JSP, Servlets, and EJB, setting up Struts-config.xml, Tiles-def.xml, and other properties files. I used JDBC to connect MySQL databases and applied DAO patterns to retrieve data with efficient optimization. My experience includes multithreading for supporting multiple requests, extensive utilization of Struts tag libraries, and testing of SOAP web services using SOAP UI. I've also utilized ANT for automated building, Spring IoC managed lifecycle of beans, and logged runtime exceptions using Log4J. Besides, I gained experience using WebLogic Server for installation, configuration, and deployment, and utilized IBM WebSphere Application Server for deploying an application. Show less
